Taxi 3

Get ready for high-speed thrills in this French Action Movie. Our story finds Daniel, the speed-loving cab driver, and Emilien, the hopelessly clumsy police inspector, attempting to navigate a festive, yet crime-ridden, Marseilles, which sets the stage for Taxi 3.

The plot kicks off when a group of high-tech bank robbers, dubbed the Santa Claus Gang for their elaborate disguises, execute a series of daring daylight heists using advanced, modified snowmobiles. The robbers, led by the enigmatic but brilliant Miss Lee, leave Inspector Gibert and his police force baffled and humiliated. Emilien is desperately trying to solve the case while simultaneously dealing with his pregnant girlfriend, Petra, who is secretly working undercover on the same case, unbeknownst to him.

Daniel and his legendary souped-up taxi are unwittingly dragged into the investigation when a close call during a chase forces the cab to undergo unexpected modifications to handle treacherous alpine terrain. The key to the gangs plan is revealed to be a unique, antique clock that acts as a secure cryptographic key for international banking transfers. The increasing demands of the investigation, coupled with Daniels own commitment to his family and the secrecy surrounding Petras true role, create significant relationship friction between the central characters.

The film takes a surprising turn when Daniel and Emilien must temporarily team up with an unlikely ally: an elderly, retired Italian mob boss with a deep knowledge of the gangs historical connections and a secret underground network of tunnels beneath the Alps. This alliance forces the duo to operate outside of official police channels, leading to a hilarious yet dangerous mission across the French-Swiss border.

The final showdown is set on the frozen slopes of the French Alps. Daniel, now driving his specially equipped taxi, races against the snowmobile-riding robbers to stop the final, biggest transaction. The climactic chase involves avalanche dodges, daring jumps, and Inspector Giberts spectacular, but ultimately useless, attempt to command a helicopter while accidentally setting off a smoke screen. Daniel manages to corner Miss Lee, who reveals her motivation is not greed, but revenge against a corrupt banking system. In the end, the criminals are apprehended, Emilien and Petra welcome their baby, and Daniel proves once again that his Peugeot 406 is the fastest vehicle on any terrain.
